Any advice on how to prevent leg cramps when exercising? I eat right/healthy, all I drink is water ALLL day. Not overweight, no health issues, I just started exercising again but these cramps are ridiculous! I can workout on the elliptical no problem but running/jogging? Forget it. I warm up prior to any exercise, I stretch AFTER because I find if I stretch before, I'm more likely to get a cramp. It sooo frustrating. Any advice? :/ by hellojackiee

It’s most likely your breathing technique. You need to control your breathing while running to better help pump oxygen into your blood. It’ll also help so you don’t get dizzy or too tired. Stay calm, breathe with your mouth open, and from your belly or diaphragm. Find a technique that works for you and see if that helps with the cramps. I had the same problem and now I hardly ever get cramps!
